Mrs. Dianne Lakhan

  SGRC welcomes its new CEO
Public service commitment has always been a major characteristic of my life, dedicating over twenty-three years of it in Local Government since joining the Public Service in August of 1990. Now I have the honour of serving the people within the Municipality of Sangre Grande.

The need for fulfillment in serving the people of my country at a higher level motivated me to further my education. I achieved a MSc. In Strategic Leadership and Management, a B.A. in Business Management, a Diploma and Advanced Diploma in Administrative Management, a Certificate in Public Administration and a Certificate in Local Government Studies.

Now armed with my academical achievements and the tremendous knowledge and experience I gained over my extensive career in Local Government, I am well equipped to work in the capacity of Chief Executive Officer of the Sangre Grande Regional Corporation, which I commenced from Monday the 5th of March, 2018.

I am determined to serve the largest Municipality in the country with its unique communities ensuring the Corporation’s vision and mission to provide prompt quality Local Government services to the people of Sangre Grande is achieved, while working alongside the Corporation’s Chairman, Councillors, Aldermen and dynamic staff.
I am excited to see what the future holds for the Municipality of Sangre Grande and even more excited to be a part of it while serving its wonderful people in the most professional and welcoming manner.
